Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Managed Softwares LLC ("Forumz", "we", "us") for using Forumz: the website forumz.app, the web app at app.forumz.app, and the Forumz apps for iPhone and Android. By creating an account or using Forumz, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines.
1. Who can use Forumz
You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it to use a service like this without a parent's consent. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms for you. You can't use Forumz if we have banned you before, or if the law where you live doesn't allow it.
2. Your account
Give accurate sign-up information and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
Usernames are first come, first served, with exceptions: names of well-known brands, people, publications and our own products are reserved, and so are lookalikes of them. We may give a reserved name to its verified owner, and we may reclaim any username that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, or sits unused to be sold.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings › Privacy and data › Delete account, or by contacting us at hello@managedsoftwares.com.
3. Your posts
You keep ownership of what you post: questions, answers, replies, photos and anything else ("your content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, show, copy, format and distribute your content on Forumz and in promoting Forumz (for example, showing a public post in search results or a shared link). The license ends when you delete your content, except for copies others have already shared, backups kept for a limited time, and anything we must keep by law.
You are responsible for your content. Only post what you have the right to post, and nothing that breaks the law or our Community Guidelines. Public posts, replies, votes totals, your username, profile and game leaderboard entries can be seen by anyone, including people who aren't signed in.
Answers on Forumz come from other people, not from us. They are not professional advice. For anything about health, law, money, safety or building work, check with a qualified professional before you act. A "Verified" badge means we checked that a person holds a credential, not that every answer they give is right.
4. Rules
Follow the Community Guidelines. Among other things, don't: break the law; harass, threaten or impersonate anyone; post sexual content involving minors (we report it to the authorities); post someone's private information; spam or manipulate votes; scrape Forumz or use bots without our written permission; get around a ban, a block or a security measure; or upload anything harmful, such as malware.
5. Zones and moderators
Zones are run by volunteer moderators who can set extra rules for their zone, remove content and ban people from it. Moderators are not our employees or agents. We can step in, change moderators, or close a zone at any time.
6. Moderation and enforcement
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the guidelines, or that put people or Forumz at risk. Where we can, we tell you what happened and why. If you think we got it wrong, write to hello@managedsoftwares.com and we'll take another look.
7. Personalized feed
Your "For you" feed learns from what you do on Forumz to show you more of what you're into. You can see what it learned, reset it, or turn it off in Settings > Privacy and data. The Hot, New and Top lists never change based on you. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
8. Games
Forumz games, such as the daily puzzle and mini golf, are free and for fun. There are no stakes, prizes or purchases unless we say so in writing. Scores, streaks and leaderboards may be reset, corrected or removed, for example if we find cheating.
9. Invites
When you invite someone by email, Forumz sends them one invitation from you. Only invite people you know and who would want to hear from you. We limit how many invites you can send and may stop invites that look like spam.
10. Ads
Forumz may show ads, clearly labeled as sponsored. Ads never change votes, answers or rankings. See the Privacy Policy for how ads are chosen.
11. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Forumz infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@managedsoftwares.com with: your contact details; the work you say is infringed; the link to the content; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for them; and your signature. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. We end the accounts of repeat infringers.
12. Our service
Forumz, its name, logo, mascot and software belong to Managed Softwares LLC. You may use Forumz as these terms allow, and nothing more. We are always improving Forumz, so features can change, and we may stop offering some of them. We'll give notice of big changes when we reasonably can.
13. Disclaimers
Forumz is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that Forumz will be uninterrupted, error free or secure, or that content on it is accurate or reliable. You use content from other people at your own risk.
14. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Managed Softwares LLC and its people are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from Forumz or content on it. Our total liability for any claim about Forumz is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
15. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content or your breaking these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
16. Disputes
Please contact us first at hello@managedsoftwares.com; most problems can be solved that way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring claims at home, any dispute that we can't settle informally will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. You and we each waive any right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action, to the extent the law allows. Either of us may take a small-claims matter to small-claims court.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and we may ask you to accept the new version to keep using Forumz. The date at the top shows the latest version.
18. Everything else
These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines are the whole agreement between you and us about Forumz. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer these terms; we can, for example as part of a merger or sale.
